Talk about another beautiful guide! I’m super into spirituality and integrating practices into my everyday lifestyle. I mean, why not?! I really enjoyed how The House Witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock paired practices with a modern way of living, as it really helps to transform daily activities from mundane to mindful.
Here are a few things in the book that really peaked my interest: → hearth craft and homebred spirituality → sacred spaces → incorporating ancestors → spirituality of food → energy boundaries
Don’t get thrown off by the use of the term “witch” because this is 2023 and a lot of traditional practices have merit if you do the proper research. Witch doesn’t only refer to the ladies in Hocus Pocus. I’m about spirituality and leave magical elements to Hogwarts.
Building a spiritual home base is extremely important to me (yes, my husband and I do attend our local United church) and I appreciate the light-hearted tone used by Murphy-Hiscock. I’m going to sit down for a reread with tabs so I can mark things to make it easier to reference. I’m extremely excited about having this book as a companion on my spiritual journey!
