𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫: Arin Murphy-Hiscock 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞: Available Now
This was my first read and guide for modern witchcraft practices and it definitely was not my last (watch for my next post, it is on The House Witch).
This guide transports readers back to the beginning and educates us on the importance of nature and how we are able to utilize it without causing harm. Included is a guide to the transference of positive energy into daily tasks, easy-to-perform rituals, and insight into what the Earth has to offer.
The design of this book is just as beautiful as the contents. Aside from how pretty it is, here are a few things I really enjoyed:
→ Wholistic approach to using nature in your everyday → Mindful practices and Spiritual rituals → Attuning yourself to nature → Manifesting the power of the seasons → Kitchen recipes
Murphy-Hiscock discusses various meanings and uses of different herbs, making tinctures and oils from them, and offers vegan and vegetarian-friendly recipes in the back. As a reader, I really could not have asked for more!
What I did not expect was how the book was able to bestow eco-friendly and environmental knowledgeable upon me without sounding like a lecture. Even if this isn’t really your cup of tea, it’s a great reference for basic information on plants, trees, flowers, and herbs. If you garden at home like I do, trust me, you’ll find this super interesting. The bibliography and index of herbs at the end of the book is priceless! I consider this an invaluable addition to my home library.
