I first met the Rebel Girls when their first book was released. I purchased it for my niece on her 10th birthday. She loved it, and the best part is I did, too!

Rebel Girls Animal Allies is the latest series installment, containing stories and illustrations by Sami Bayly of women who have done extraordinary things for animals. I was only familiar with five women in the book, making this an excellent learning experience that reads less like a biography and more like a bedtime story. This collection features women of all ages, races, and professions from around the globe. If you think one person cannot make a difference, pick up Rebel Girls and learn limits do not exist.
