I really enjoyed reading Into the Tide, the first book in the Cottonwood Cove series, by Laura Pavlov! This sweet, contemporary romance takes place in the beachside small town of Cottonwood Cove, readers are taken for an emotional journey that challenges the status quo. Sometimes to find yourself, you have to go home.
Meet Hugh. He’s getting a new co-worker this summer: his best friend’s little sister. Yet she’s not so little anymore. She’s a woman and a beautiful woman at that. But her brother would never forgive him for crossing that line. Will he be able to keep things light?
Meet Lila. She’s home only for the summer after graduating college, and gets a job at her brother’s best friend’s restaurant. She’s getting her life together but there’s just one goal she still has to deal achieve: losing her virginity. Will she be able to find the man to help her achieve her goal?
As someone who is new to spicy reads, normally preferring a closed door romance, this one definitely pushed my comfort zone in the best ways. You’re going to love this read if forbidden love, brother’s best friend, and forced proximity are what you crave. Pavlov is the newest author on my auto buy list and she should be one on yours too! A truly gifted writer who crafts page-turning small town romances. Get ready to laugh, pretend like you’re not crying, and swoon HARD. I’ll be watching and anxiously awaiting the rest of the series!
Thank you to Valentine PR & Literary Management for an eARC in exchange for my honest review!
