𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫: Ashley Brandt 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞: Available Now
I found this book to be a beautiful homage to tradition while having a modern tone, as it is inspired by the Navajo legend of Ma’il.
Meet Raven Thatcher. She is a shapeshifter and has grown up in a secret community in the woods, having trained as a warrior and becoming the leader.
She is ready to accept her first posting, but in just a few hours, everything changes: → Her boyfriend attacks her. → Her father is brutally murdered. → She meets a dark, handsome stranger.
Raven finds herself faced with the choice of a: becoming the pack’s warrior or b: become a typical housewife. Oh, did I mention there are two community members who go missing? My bad. That happens, and you should be ready.
Brandt takes readers on a journey of murder, revenge, and deception. She weaves together mystery and suspense in a flawless fashion that gave the story “power of perseverance” vibes.
I loved the journey, personal development, character development, and subtle elements of eroticism. I was immersed in the story from the first chapter and throughly enjoyed my time in this world. I adored this book and will definitely be pulling a reread of a physical copy.
Thank you, Ashley Brandt, for a digital copy in exchange for my honest review! Want to grab yourself a copy? Find it here.
